I decided to watch the 8-12 finalists to help calm me down. Tracy Eldwin was well over 40 minutes long. She played the piano. First she told us everything she was going to play, the Complete Collection of Scott Joplin Rags. She read a speech about why she should win first place, why she entered the show, and what she might do with the prize money. She played all of her songs quickly, or slow at the exact right times. I knew the Entertainer but I couldn’t think where from. When she was done playing everyone clapped and whistled for about 3 minutes straight.

I woke up this morning and my dad was sleeping in the chair right beside me. It was kind of sweet.
